Paul Whibley joins GAS GAS

We can now confirm that Paul Whibley has signed for GAS GAS. Paul flew out to the GAS GAS factory on friday, tested the bike on Saturday morning and signed on the dotted line on Saturday afternoon! The deal has been put together after countless emails and phone calls during the past few weeks between the GG factory Team Manager 'Pepe Pou' and the UK Team Manager John Shirt jnr.

The contract is split between both the GAS GAS factory for World Championship Competition in the E2 class where he will ride the EC250 and Team John Shirt GAS GAS UK where he will ride the British Enduro Championship, the Fast Eddy Race Series and other selected UK events. Paul had his first W.E.C. E2 podium this year with the Honda Racing Fast Eddy Team and he is very hungry for more.

Paul ideally wants to ride in the E2 class on a 250 stroke where he feels the most happy and competitive. He rode the last two W.E.C. rounds this year in the E3 class on a 450 4 stroke and he admits he prefers the 2 strokes anyday. He is also looking forward to ride a bike that is solely developed and built for the sport of Enduro.

After the retirement of Juan Knight after the I.S.D.E. a replacement was needed. Juan has done a fantastic job for GAS GAS in the UK and will continue to ride purely for fun.

Also joining Team John Shirt GAS GAS UK is the 2004 Overall Expert Class Champion-- TOM SAGAR ! This year has been Toms first year competing in the British Enduro Championship and he has won the Expert class overall in his first year. Tom is yet another Expert Trials rider that has come into the sport with a bang. The last rider to do this with such impact was a certain David Knight so who knows what Tom will achieve !? Tom will also be armed with a 250 2 stroke for his move up to the Championship Class. Toms first event will be the superbly organised 'John Banks Enduro' on November 21st which is the perfect introduction to the Championship Class. The check times on the last two laps will certainly get the 'Bigman' sweating and give him a good insight of how to prepair for the Breakland Enduro (1st round of "05 B.E.C.) in March !

He also automatically joins the already healthy GAS GAS UK trials team where he will still compete in National UK Trials and the Scottish Six Days Trial etc.

I'm sure you'll agree these two riders will make next years Championships exciting !

Regards John Shirt jnr.
